POEM- SPRING IS SINGING
SPRING IS SINGING
Vibrant and sunny, brought a sweet smelling spring to sing,
Dogwood sprouts with divine white buds while robins quickly build their nests high on verandas;
And Oklahoma's popular redbuds are gleaning from the sunshine's blessings,
As the green grass begins to show its earthly extravaganzas.
Cardinals tweeting merrily, bushy-tailed squirrels hopping from tree to tree,
Purple wandering jews blossoming steady were made to shine;
Spring has sprung indeed this May, sweet-looking so bright and glee;
Buzzing honey bees are happy and lady bugs are busy is a wondrous sign.
Sound of rain splattering on the roof and rays of sun after that,
The gushing winds made the green weeping willows to dance and sway away;
The sweet scent of red roses billowing at the porch, gaily rainbows are signs this spring, Ohh I need my straw-hat;
Multi-colored wildflowers and a meadow garden in full splendor of spring array.
Spiders weaving their nets patiently, glistening shiny in the bright sun,
Mint hummingbird yellows are attracting birds and bees;
Calming sounds all around, leaving a savor of spring in the air, I held a baked hot cinnamon roll in my hand,
Listening to the classy melody playing, a glass of lemonade and caressed by the enchanting spring breeze.
God made the earth in six days and Spring is here to stay for now...
